A horror crash claimed the lives of 18 people on a Guatemalan freeway recently, including children.

According to reports a large truck slammed into a crowd that had gathered on a dark highway after a person was run over in a separate accident.

The people had gathered around the accident when they themselves were hit by a speeding truck, sending bodies flying.

The injured were transported to nearby hospitals and 18 people were killed.
