Bendix released advice that brake pad checking is the most useful tool when it comes to determining when brake pads need to be changed and to find any issues in the system.
Bendix says that brake pad identification is important, particularly given that some vehicles can be fitted with several different options, as well as aftermarket brake upgrade kits.
The company advises that to adequately identify the correct replacements, the brake fitter must confirm that the old pads are the same as the new pads, by assessing the shape, width, thickness and length of the pad.
