A recent incident was a reminder of the importance of watching out for wildlife on the road, after traffic traveling on the Princes Highway through Stratford was diverted for hours following a truck tipping on its side.
The truck was pulling a dog trailer at the time and tipped when the driver attempted to avoid wildlife.
The truck hit the barriers before tipping and landing on its side.
The driver was not seriously injured but was transported to hospital as a precaution.
Police said thankfully barriers were present that stopped the tipper truck from crossing into oncoming traffic and causing even more chaos.
