Fatigue Concerns Top NHVR Confidential Reporting Line Complaints

Fatigue related complaints top the list of complaints to the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator’s (NHVR’s) Heavy Vehicle Confidential Reporting Line (HVCRL).

Since the reporting line has been live there have been more than 65 reports of non-compliance every month. The line has been live since July last year. The regulator has fielded around 115 calls each month.

NHVR’s CEO Sal Petroccitto said between October 2018 and January 2019 alone there were 505 calls received, generating 289 new reports.

Almost one third of these were fatigue related concerns.

To report concerns to the HVCRL Call   1800 931 785 for free from any landline in Australia (and some mobile providers).
