Although truck drivers usually get the short end of the stick when it comes to blame for road crashes, road safety is everyone’s responsibility and as a new campaign highlights this requires the mindfulness of all road users.

The New South Wales Centre for Road Safety reminds us that cyclists, pedestrians, motorbike riders and car drivers as well as truck drivers have a responsibility towards road safety and should always “Be Truck Aware”.

The video below created by the state government aims to raise awareness about taking extra care when around trucks by giving the public an idea of what its like to be behind the wheel of a truck.
