The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) said it is pleased with the outcome of a recent national blitz which revealed that national fatigue compliance was at par with last year.

Operation Wake Up was led by the NHVR during April and involved the inspection of over 4,400 vehicles across 105 locations in all states and territories, with the exception of The NT.

There were 874 intercepts with an offence, mostly related to mechanical errors. There were 234 offences related to fatigue management.
