New Guideline to Help at Truck Breakdown Sites

The Victorian Transport Industry Safety Group recently released new guidelines for truck breakdown sites, to help ensure staff and public safety.

The guidelines, meant to assist operators, drivers and technicians details a checklist of factors involved in truck breakdowns as well as the steps that should be taken to address them.

The steps are broken down into 3 stages including preparation by the operator in case of a breakdown, actions the driver should take in the event of a breakdown and considerations for carrying out safe emergency roadside repairs.
