NSW Police recently embarked on Operation Catapult at Rosehill on the west of Sydney, near WestConnex construction sites.

The focus of the operation was safety and compliance for tipper and dog combinations with officers intercepting and checking numerous vehicles.

During the operation officers from the NSW Traffic and Highway Patrol Command intercepted 29 trucks and trailers and issued 15 defect notices relating to brake imbalance, air leaks, smooth tyres and exhaust leaks.

Two trucks were given red defect notices for major brakes issues and one vehicle was overweight.

Thankfully all licences were in order and no drug offences were identified.
