Melinda Pavey, New South Wales roads, maritime and freight minister has highlighted the state’s commitment to the NHVR’s compliance task through the year.

Pavey highlighted the importance of the period ahead of us for the freight transport industry and the role the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) will play as it enforces the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL).

She explained that in July the NHVR will have access to the new National Heavy Vehicle Registration System and the National Compliance Information System will be launched, combining camera and compliance data from around the country.

Chain of Responsibility provisions in the National Law will also come into effect, with Pavey emphasising the importance of everyone in the chain, across all states recognising their obligation to safety.  See more at https://www.fullyloaded.com.au/industry-news/1803/pavey-backs-nhvr-direction-on-trucking-compliance
