The Vehicle Standards Bulletin (VSB) 6 – the national code of practice for heavy vehicle modifications, is under review and the NHVR is asking for industry feedback concerning the updated draft.

NHVR Safety director Daniel Elkins, reminds us that the industry’s feedback is crucial given that the VSB6 is the national standard for common modifications performed to heavy vehicles.

Mr Elkins highlights that the proposed changes modernise VSB6 considerably to guide the industry through common modifications made to heavy vehicles.

He also highlighted how important it was to have industry feedback as this is an industry standard, used throughout Australia.

A comprehensive review of VSB6 began in July 2015 and the draft VSB6 will be under review until 17 March 2017.
