Two trucks recently collided on the South Eastern Freeway near Monarto, claiming the life of one of the truck drivers.

Having been described as a loving father with a big heart, the 56 year old driver died on the scene after his vehicle collided into the back of another in South Australia’s Murraylands. He had been driving trucks for almost 4 decades.

The truck was carrying household goods which included aerosol cans which caught alight, setting off a blaze.

The fire quickly spread to grass and scrub, and required Country Fire Service crews to extinguish it.
