Truck Safety Stagnant Despite Stakeholder Efforts

According to data from government and private sector sources, commercial vehicle safety has remained fairly stagnant over the past decade.

A report from Wards CV Intelligence, based on the data mentioned above revealed that despite efforts to improve commercial vehicle safety through education, new technology and best practices, flat or negative safety trends prevail.

The Wards 2018 Commercial Vehicle Safety Report examined the most credible public and proprietary data sources in its report, including data on truck-related accidents, fatalities, injuries and property incidents over the past 10 years.

Authored by Jim Mele, editor-in-chief of Fleet Owner magazine the Wards Commercial Vehicle Safety Report, indicates that while industry and government are making efforts to improve road safety, the improvements aren’t significant.
