Police recently warned that drivers are selfishly putting their own lives and the lives of others at risk by flouting drink driving laws, after they caught a truck driver nearly 4 times over the legal limit driving in the middle of the day.
They say the 44 year old man’s truck was impounded and he is set to be charged with multiple driving offences after blowing 0.191.
The truck was intercepted in the middle of the afternoon on Skipton Street, police say.
Authorities reminded drink drivers not to behave selfishly by drink driving because they are risking other people’s lives as well as their own.
Ballarat police said they had intercepted 1.5 people every day with drugs in their system since July last year.
