The Australian Logistics Council (ALC) has called on policy makers and all the participants in the road supply chain to work together to improve road safety.
The ALC and its MD Michael Kilgariff said the transport sector, governments and regulators need to work together to address safety in the industry, rather than each stakeholder blaming the other.
This statement came one day after the Transport Worker’s Union national secretary blamed the federal government for ignoring the industry pressure on truck drivers which was increasing road crashes and wage theft.
