Truck crashes are notorious for causing not only destruction but major traffic delays, like a truck that caught fire on the M1 at Yatala recently.
The cab of the B-Double truck was fully alight when fire fighters were called to the scene on exit 41 and while they were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, traffic was heavily congested in the area for several hours.
Delays reached as far as Beenleigh, blocking exit 41 as well.
Traffic only returned to normal by the evening after emergency crews used a heavy haulage tow truck to remove the vehicle.
