A new report has found that physical injuries around road transport vehicles and mental impacts of driving trains are coming at a heavy cost to the workforce and industry.
The study funded by Linfox and conducted by Monash University found that transport workers are 5 times more likely to be injured at work than any other Australian worker.
The study found that rail drivers were 30 times more likely to develop a mental health condition than any other worker.
The transport and logistics industry has the second highest number of workplace fatalities consistently across Australia, which makes this study so important.
